SEiSMiC: Societal Engagement in Science, Mutual Learning in Cities
7th Framework Programme of the EU
The project aims at drawing attention to challenges currently faced by city society that must be addressed. SEiSMiC attempts to bridge the gap between the academic community and the society by creating a structured dialogue and mutual exchange of experience between citizens and bearers of city activities.
Project Implementation Period: 2013-2016.
Partner Countries: Belgium, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Turkey, Great Britain.
The co-investigator on behalf of the Czech Republic is Charles University, Faculty of Humanities, Department of Civil Society Studies, Mgr. Selma Muhič Dizdarevič, Ph.D. and Doc. Ing. Marie Dohnalová, CSc.
The project output will consist in the creation of National Networks in the ten European countries. Opinions of the National Network members will be taken into account during the implementation of the JPI Urban Europe program as well as other EU programs. Until 2040, the challenges and trends will be tied to the Europe 2020 strategy and the European Urban Agenda.
